The air fryer that fits your kitchen.

Capacity, counter space and cleaning: what to consider before choosing an air fryer.

An air fryer is useful when it fits the way you cook. Start with your usual portions and kitchen space, then compare the basket, controls and warranty. A large advertised discount tells you very little about those things.

Start with the food, not just the litres

Nominal capacity is a starting point. The usable basket floor area matters when you want food in a single layer. A tall basket may hold plenty by volume but still need batches for flat items.

  • Think about a normal meal: one portion, a couple of sides, or food for several people?
  • Check the actual basket dimensions and whether a whole item you cook often will fit.
  • For two-basket models, check each basket separately. The combined capacity may not describe the space you need.

Measure your counter and check the instructions

Compare the full exterior dimensions, including room to pull the drawer out. Leave the ventilation clearance specified by the manufacturer. Check that the socket, voltage and plug are suitable for your Malaysian home; do not assume an imported model has a local plug or warranty.

Make cleaning part of the decision

Look for a removable basket and tray, accessible corners and clear care instructions. Only put parts in a dishwasher if the manufacturer explicitly permits it. A coating needs the utensils and cleaning method recommended for that model.

Compare the features you will use

Before checkout

Confirm the exact model and variant, local warranty, return conditions and delivery charge on the listing. Compare the final checkout amount rather than the crossed-out price. Read recent, detailed reviews for recurring concerns, while remembering that a review is not independent verification.
